Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026. This policy explains how Zentriq (“we”, “us”) handles personal information for employers and job seekers in South Africa, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
Zentriq operates a blue-collar recruitment platform that connects employers with candidates. Contact us at info@zentriq.co.za.
Information we collect
- Employers: name, email, company details, login credentials, billing and credit transaction records.
- Candidates: name, age, location, trade skills, certificates, WhatsApp number, and related profile information provided via WhatsApp or web apply.
- Usage: technical logs needed to run and secure the service (for example IP address and device/browser data where applicable).
How we use information
- Create and manage employer accounts and candidate profiles
- Match candidates to jobs and notify them (including via WhatsApp)
- Process connection credits and payments
- Manage hire and placement status on the platform
- Improve, secure, and support the platform
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations
Sharing
We share candidate contact and profile details with employers only when an employer initiates a paid connection (or equivalent product action). We use service providers (for example hosting, payments, and WhatsApp messaging via Meta) under agreements that require appropriate protection of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
If you message or register via WhatsApp, your number and message content needed for registration and job alerts are processed to provide the service. Meta’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to WhatsApp.
Retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Your rights (POPIA)
Subject to POPIA, you may request access to your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, email info@zentriq.co.za.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
